Beloved friends!
It's become a habit that I start every blog entry by apologizing for not updating often enough! It has to change!! I hereby announce that my vacation has finally started so this blog is my priority number one! At least for this weekend...
I'll be in France for five more weeks, so I have little time to actually see places. I'll try my best anyway. By the way, this is the third week I'm sick, some say it's because of partying too much, others say it's because of studying. I say it's because of stupidity: too little clothing outside, no sleep and risking my health for useless things like a yellow belt in judo. By the way, I now have a yellow belt in judo! XD
OK, so now we're going to travel back in time and take a look at my second semester in Bordeaux. This is a story about a trip to not-so-faraway place: the KEDGE business school.
In the beginning of this year, I met my awesome Korean friend Gail who suggested I come to her school to see places. Since I'd seen the school every day on my way to Bordeaux 3 (which is now, btw, Bordeaux Montaigne), I knew it would be way more exciting than seeing the place I go almost every day that they still call a university. So here's KEDGE:
The building is brand new and the students walk in with a good posture since they're not ashamed of their school.
They have these pretty café things.
This is the logo of the school. A lot of the students carry a bag with this logo on it. I would never carry a Bordeaux Montaigne bag. On the other hand, it would be a great joke.
This is an auditorium. It doesn't even have holes in the walls like the ones in Bdx Montaigne!
Of course, they also have elevators. Good quality elevators, since they're the Finnish Kone elevators!!!
The lobby looks like an airport. The whole place looks like an airport. I like it, you always have the feeling that you're getting out of France!
They also have screens on the lobbies. Like in the center of Jyväskylä, the city of light! XD I didn't quite understand the show in the screens, though.
They have to find their classrooms from the screens. Kinda like... an airport!!!
Oh, and they have these weird, random rooms where you can hang out with your friends and have coffee. Or learn Korean: keopi!!
So that was KEDGE. Just to remind you how beautiful my school is, here are some new pictures of Bordeaux Montaigne:
See the genius critique of... ummm... no idea.
Oh, burn!!!
Watch out, Batman! Wait, he lives here too?!
¨
And by the way, this beautiful artwork is made by the students of the university Bordeaux Montaigne. Yes, university students! And yes, the ones who go to this school! They did this to their own school!
Umm... who's Jock?
Imagine you had the incredibly stupid idea of painting ugly stuff on you own school's walls. I mean, you could write anything you want and everyone in the school would read it every day as they pass by. Yeah, I'm pretty sure you, too, would write "F%#k Google".
"Another chance not to become anyone". Well, at least you've made sure you'll always be a loser and now everyone can see it. I know the French system isn't great... OK, it sucks, but I'm pretty sure this isn't the way to make it better.
After this short comparison, I'm certain you're all jealous of me since I've had the chance to go to this breathtakingly beautiful school. I mean, seriously, I've been reminded of its crappiness every day as I've passed KEDGE by buss!! Well, at least I'm going back to J-town soon <3.
A new blog text coming soon (dis time fr realz!!)!!!
And let's make this a competition: the first one to read this entry, share this link on Facebook if you dare!! I'll only advertise this after I've written all the entries until today (I hope it's not "never").
Keep it real!
-"I promise I'll write the next one soon!"
