I know it's been too long since I've updated this awesome blog, but I've been sick, tired and busy. Well-thought excuses, huh? Anyway, I have some bad news for you guys. Since I'm moving tomorrow and our amazing new apartment DOESN'T HAVE AN INTERNET CONNECTION, there's gonna be a (hopefully short) break. So enjoy this (or these) last text(s?) before THE BREAK.
I started the university yesterday, but before telling about my awesome first day at school I would like to have a word about the French bureaucracy.
This Monday I woke up feeling pretty crappy since I had a sore throat. I comforted myself thinking that, luckily, I hadn't faced any kind of the notorious bureaucracy in France. Probably the universe heard my thought and decided to start screwing me every possible way. So be careful with your thoughts!
We went to the student helping thing with Heidi and got the obligatory home insurance really easily! I just love our bank! It wasn't even open and they just led us in and gave us the insurance. With great service (although we had a different bank boy). Everyone knows us in the bank! I love the bank! Bankety-bank-bank!
Then I met the Bureaucracy.
We decided to apply for the CAF -the French housing benefit. All we had to do was filling like a 100000000000000000000 blankets online. We did it in the student helping thing and there was a nice girl telling us exactly what we should write in each of the boxes. Even with the help, it took like half an hour. And that wasn't the applying part, that was just the pre-infrormation!! We got more blankets that someone else (our landlady) should fill. Then, sometime when we get the stuff done, we just have to go to the CAF place, stand in line for the whole day and hope to (universe? Patrick Stump?) that we have enough material to get the application filed. Looking forward to it!
After the delightful CAF-pre-application thing we went to the center to get operators to our phones. We got in line, here's how Heidi looks so very happy:
The waiting was really nice because we were both sick and tired and the waiting was like hell.
I took this picture after half of the time we'd waited:
And this was our number:
I can assure you that the line didn't move fast!
After waiting for an hour (yes, we checked) we got service. The lady asked us to give a pile of documents and as I handed them she said that my "blue card" wasn't the right kind. Which meant that it wasn't French. I asked what I should do and she told me to come again when I had the card. So standing in the line for an hour turned out to be pointless. Warm feelings towards the French system!
That night, I had fever. 37,9 degrees. This system makes me literally sick.
Well, we hadn't got enough of the standing in the line thing so we went to get our tramway cards. Here's Heidi queuing:
And yes, we stood there so long that it didn't even feel embarrassing to take this picture:
And just when it would have been our turn, they started closing the counters. Lunch break is a sacred thing:
But! Eventually we got the cards! Because we had bought EVERY DOCUMENT WE HAD!
By the way, the French people have some kind of fetish about writing the obvious stuff:
No shit! I would have wanted to drink that delicious-looking toxic!
And when talking about toxic, let's take another look at the pile of trash in our yard:
Yes! It's getting bigger every day! I'm so sad I have to move to my own apartment. I won't be able to see how this baby grows up and starts school or something.
So this was my first touch with the French bureaucracy. And also some unrelated stuff. If I have time tonight, I will tell you about my day at the university. If I don't, then I will (hopefully) update sometime next week when I finally get the operator. The funny thing is, they said that we can order it online when we have the cards so we don't have to stand in line. WELL GUESS WHAT?! WHEN WE HAVE THE CARDS, WE DON'T HAVE THE INTERNET BECAUSE WE NEED THE OPERATOR WE ARE SUPPOSED TO ORDER ONLINE! Gotta love the irony.
I'm gonna miss you all, dear readers!! And thanks for the comments (feeling guilty? Go to comment!) Hope I get the beloved Internet soon! <3
And here's the night view from our window:
"Everything looks better when the sun goes down." -Pretty Reckless
See you soon, love ya all! <3<3

It's like everytime you have problems with your internet connection and windows suggests you to seek help online.. I guess that just tells that something hasn't been thought through. Happens with a lot of stuff. Quite frustrating I'd say :D
BUONASERA, ROSMU !
Sulla on herttaisa blogi! Ah, kuinka palan halusta kertoa kaikki elämäni asiat sinulle ! Mutta skypettömyys on aika kurja juttu.... Jee, jee! Kerro pian lisää, puhun koko lukijakuntasi puolesta nyt ! <3 <3
No, aloitetaanpa yhdellä asialla: MUN NIMI EI OO ROSMU!!!!!!
