...and by "awesomeness" I mean this blog, definitely not France!
I know that you all have been dying to read this blog - and it's finally here! Surprise, it's in English! Gotta be fair to all my international fans! XD So let's start it.
Hi! I'm a 20 year old student from Finland (in case you didn't know, oh no, now I told my age!! yes, I'm old) and for some reason I decided to spend 9 months in France. Please don't ask me why, I'm asking the very same question myself like a thousand times a day. And I've been here for 9 days!
So anyway, I chose a city called Bordeaux because I thought that it was the plural form of the word "bordelli" - a brothel. Turned out it isn't. Plus I thought it would be like a huge metropolis like Berlin with new shining buildings. Man, was I wrong! All the streets look like this:
And by all the streets I mean ALL the streets. Not funny, Bordeaux! I mean, I was good at getting lost in Finland where all the buildings didn't look exactly the same, but this... Endless amount of more and more narrow streets with old houses that share the exact same color. I couldn't even identify our door! And trust me, that picture makes that street look pretty damn big compared to what it is in real life.
So, the reason I started this late writing the blog (besides being lazy as hell) is that I spent last week in Paris without Internet connection. Trust me, it was hard. I missed Facebook so much. So why didn't I start this blog two days ago when I got here in Bordeaux and dove in the sweet depths of THE INTERNET? That, my friends, is because, as a wonderful beginning of my journey in the lovely town of Bordeaux, I got fever!! Felt greatly antisocial when the nice family of my friend gave me a place to stay, some food and a warm welcome here. I just walked around for two days like a zombie, sleeping, chatting on Facebook, missing my friends and family and being more quiet than I've ever been. Yeah, I know. Being sick sounds awesome. Well, IT'S NOT!
I know I've been all negative about stuff, but I can assure you that there has been really comforting surprises here in Bordeaux (please note that I've only walked like 400 meters tops from our door so I really don't know this city that well :D). But here's one thing:
That's right! Pepsi Max! In France!! I gotta be honest, I was worried when I couldn't find it in Paris. My year has been saved. Plus I heard Macklemore in that same store. Good place.
Now that I've told the important Pepsi news I can move on to the less urgent ones. No, I still haven't found the apartment. And yes, I'm feeling more than a little stressed. I went to buy a prepaid operator today for my cell phone and called some French guy about an apartment. I spoke French which was scary as hell on the phone! He just kept talking and when I told him I didn't understand he just talked faster and more. Some kind of French logic!! Anyway, turned out he had sold the apartment ages ago. Go up-to-date websites!!
So no apartment, got sick, missing all you guys a lot! Honestly, I can't describe how overwhelmed and emotional I was when I got here and reached all your messages. Thanks guys!
Anyway, here's Heidi:
She's gonna be my roommate for the following year. She's arranging our stuff in our temporary flat. It's a nice place. Heidi's awesome but her boyfriend is now in the Army and she's trying to turn me to his substitute. Tonight she already mentioned that I have blond hair like her boyfriend. And a ponytail. Then she asked if I wanted to wear her boyfriend's shirt which she has for some reason brought all the way from Finland to France. Scary. Did I mention that we sleep in the same bed with her? And yes, we share a blanket.
So this is a picture of me in Bordeaux. This is a place called Place de la Victoire. It's like 350 meters from our door. And probably the most far away I've went during my time here. I know what you're thinking: the sunlight is not for me. It makes me look suffering. Which I am. Because of the sunlight. Is it too much to hope that it will be dark every day this year in Bordeaux? And yes, I am a vampire. Not the kind that shines in the sunlight.
Thanks for trying to read my blog! Leave a comment if you can, I don't really know how this works :D . In the next blog entry we will go BACK IN TIME (whoa - spooky!) and find out what happened in Paris. Remember guys, what happens in Paris... goes to my blog!!
Love you guys! And I know, I'm awesome :P
À bientôt! <-obligatory French corny phrase, so you less educated people can learn something :P

Naah, doesn't look that bad! And I don't think you're a vampire, just a "life-style vampire". Makes more sense, huh? I think it does..? Anyways, you'll get an apartment. It'll work out some way or another, always does. And I'm anxiously waiting to hear about Paris! A lot of pics please! Oh, and I hope you'll get better soon! Luv ya honey, have fun!
:DD Did you forget my habit of attacking people and drinking their blood? Thanks anyway, I really appreciate this comment (believe it or not, no sarcasm)! Love you too! See you soon!(?)
Did Heidi really try to make you wear my shirt xD I know she misses me but I didn't know this =P
